F.I.T. For The Future is a Community Development Group that encourages the local community to make positive and proactive choices NOW to promote a Healthier, more productive Future.

F.I.T. For the Future is a 501(c)(3) domestic charitable, non-profit organization. Our focus is to encourage all generations to create a future that’s holistically healthy, in Mind-Body-Spirit, by making proactive decisions in the present.

F.I.T. For The Future is an ardent believer in the age old African Proverb: “It takes a village to raise a child”. This adage exemplifies the foundation of F.I.T. For The Future, as we aim to cultivate citizens who will survive, & thrive in life & society.

The scope of our outreaches touch, but is not limited to: single parent households, at-risk youth, low-income families, the elderly, & veterans. F.I.T. For The Future seeks to develop the mental, physical, & spiritual qualities within the community through a variety of Activities, Exposures, Knowledge, Opportunities, Resources, Encouragement, Inspiration & Hope.

To accomplish our goals, we actively engage our community with different events & programs.

We also collaborated with other community driven organizations to host these events throughout the year.

Shifting into the Summer, we host an exploratory sports camp for children ages 5 - 17. Mental Health Kickball Tournament.

Also, during the Summer, we host our Annual Fit For School Festival. Provide students/teachers with free school supplies, free haircuts, food, & more.

We Start the year off with our Community Trailblazer Award & Scholarship Benefit Gala.

Hosted annually on The 3rd Sunday in May.

Next, during the Spring & Fall semesters,

The M.E.N.S Club is in Session!

A mentoring and leadership development program for young men ages 6 - 12.

Finally, we end the year with our annual Thanksgiving & Christmas Day Brunch.

Food, Toiletries, & Clothes are distributed to those in need.

The events mentioned above are only the beginning of our plans to impact Our Community & the World. We inner-stand, the only way we can sustain the fire of our “Faith Inspired Thinking”, is through the assistance of community partners, Like You!!!
